The Irony of Christmas

Every December, cities come alive. Money moves fast, tables are prepared, and songs about peace fill the air. In Kenya and across the world, Christmas carries real economic weight. Yet beneath the celebration lies a quiet contradiction. We pause for a day, but resist a Person. We honor a season, but avoid the Savior. Jesus is welcomed into culture, but not into conscience. Isaiah declared that a great Light had come into the world, not as a symbol, but as a Person. And still, many choose the comfort of the celebration over the cost of walking in the Light.
